The supposedly most romantic day of the year is nearly here. For those who celebrate it will be searching for gift ideas that will satisfy their other half. If you or your partner are active, here are some ways to make Valentine’s Day special and sporty.
*Start the day with a morning run together followed by a hearty breakfast at your favourite café. Indulge in a fruit platter and follow it up with some scrambled eggs and a creamy latte or whatever you fancy.
*Buy your loved one some running shorts or a top. Or take them shopping to their favourite sports store so they can pick out something they want.
*If you don’t have to work spend the day in bed being active in a different way, watching romantic videos, feeding each other strawberries dipped in chocolate.
*Surprise your partner with a day at the health spa. Enjoy a full body massage, aromatherapy bath, facial and pedicure. You’re both going to feel relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated.
*Try a new activity together. Go indoor rock climbing, kayaking, bowling, salsa dancing or ice skating. Studies show that engaging in a new activity together can help create stronger bonds in your relationship – and that’s one of the most important things on Valentine’s Day.
*If weather permits, explore your city or forest by bike. Cycling is a great non impact activity that can be a healthy alternate to running and an activity that can be done together. You can also check out if you can hire a tandem bicycle for something different. Pack a picnic, pick a destination and have a great day together.
All fabulous ideas!
Great post, finally some VD info that fits for people not into diamonds + fluff! My favourite is the run + hearty breakfast, the best way to get a Sunday going and espcially this weekend!
Yes, I like that one too 🙂
