Tomorrow I’m running in my first half marathon. 21.097km. Excitement. Fear. Anxiety. Nervousness. Eagerness. These are just some of the emotions running through me. Till now I’ve only done 10km runs. The larger distance have been a goal that seemed very far away.
Tomorrow, I am going to make an attempt at accomplishing one of my long term goals.
Exercise over the past week has been kept to a minimum. I’m not sure whether that’s the right thing to do but I didn’t want to over train before a race. We’ll see how it goes tomorrow.
What did I eat today?
Breakfast – scrambled eggs with bread roll, cheese, tomato and cucumber, black tea
Snack – coffee with 1.5% milk, 2 glasses of water
Lunch – chicken and vegetable red curry with white rice
Snack – decaf coffee with 1.5% milk, 2 glasses of water
Dinner – minced beef with vegetables spaghetti
Snack – chocolate, mint tea, orange juice, H20
It’s after 11pm. Time to get some sleep before the big day.
