Three Things Thursday

Counting Down
Seven weeks till Christmas. Six weeks till the Canberra 70.3 Ironman. Five weeks left of solid training. Four weeks till taper. Three weeks and December will be here. Two weeks and we’ve got dinner & dancing. One week till the Robina Triathlon. Tomorrow is Friday, oh, doing a little dance, I love Fridays.

Bit by bit
It’s not about spending three hours on the bike every day. Once a week or every two is enough as long as there are a few shorter sessions fit in throughout the week. Less sometimes really is more. Listen to your body, today and always. If you can’t fit in hour workouts, train for forty-five minutes, can’t do that, aim for thirty. It all adds up to building your fitness and endurance.

Sleep
I’m loving it at the moment. In bed by 9pm. Up at 4:30am, and looking forward to bedtime all over again. I even sneak in a nap during the day at weekends. Sleep is one of the best forms of recovery, and today I really feel like I need it. Good night 🙂
