I almost didn’t go for a run today. Almost. It’s important to find a source of motivation to get you to put on your running shoes and head for a run. Today mine was reading other runners blogs, as well as thinking about my goals for the 10km Warsaw Run coming up in two weeks, and the Poznan Marathon in three weeks. I know that the run I do today, or will do tomorrow or the next day will have some impact on how I perform come race day.
The third motivational factor is food. Yep. I love it. Especially Thai or Italian. And since I didn’t have to go into the city to work today I had more time to prepare a yummy green vegetable curry with steamed rice (I even cleaned the house beforehand) after my run. I tell you though it doesn’t always work that way. There are days where nothing can get motivated. Now as I write this I’m enjoying my delicious spicy lunch on the terrace while the gentle breeze dries the clothes on the washing line, the neighbors yell obscenities at one another, and the dog wanders waiting for me to share.
