40 minutes easy run

Felt a little sore today after the weekend weights and interval workouts. Very tight hamstrings.



Tue

50 minutes intervals + 10 minute walk for cool down

10 min warm up @ 10km/hr

3 x 400m @ 15km/h with 2 minutes jog @ 10km/h for rest

3 x 800m @ 13km/hr with 2 minutes jog in between

1 x 1500m @ 12.5km/hr with 3 minute cool down @ 10km/hr

Really good training. I need to keep in mind that it’s training and not a race. I wanted to push myself a little bit more but I’d rather push myself on Sunday.

21.097km half marathon in Sochaczew, Poland.

The first 16km felt fantastic. I kept up a pace of 5min per kilometer. After the sixteenth kilometer a few hills appeared and they finished me off and my pace slowed down a bit. About a kilometer or two to the end I thought for a moment I wasn’t going to make it but as soon as I heard the announcers voice over the megaphone I ran faster and managed to finish my first half marathon with a much faster time than expected.
