10 min stretch
Felt good today. Yesterday I gave it about 80% effort in the fun run which gave me a PB. Today, I felt even better on my run. The coffee probably helped too. I think that the problem yesterday was that my body was a bit dehydrated.
Tuesday – Friday
Off
Unplanned. I wanted to run really badly. Unfortunately, my health started to play up again. I got infection and running wasn’t a good idea. Have to check whether I’m deficient in anything and start taking multivitamins. My doctor actually recommended I take a multi regardless of the fact that I eat a fair amount of fruit and vegetables. Running and other training may be depleting my body of many of the vitamins. The problem is remembering to take one every day.
Saturday
45 minutes run (7.2km)
Included in that were 4 x 400m intervals @ 14k/hr
20 minutes weights
1 hour Jukari class
Started with lots of energy and when it came to my intervals I was exhausted. I had to take a break for walking in between the intervals which I normally don’t do.
Sunday
40 minutes run (7km) – with 3 hills
The start of today’s workout was tough. Thought I wouldn’t make the difference. About half way through I my energy levels increased and it ended up being a successful training session.
