Wed 15/1 – 15 min weights + 40 min walk (3.4km)
Thu 16/1 – rest
Fri 17/1 – rest
Sat 18/1 – 1.5hr walk (7.5km)
Sun 19/1 – rest
Mon 20/1 – 35 min walk (3.2km)
I’m really enjoying power walking at the moment. It’s relaxing and energising at the same time. After a long day at work the last thing I want to do is run. I’m going to try to run in the morning so that way there’s no excuses in the afternoon. The mornings are cooler too especially now that it’s the middle of summer with temperatures ranging between 28-32 degrees Celsius most days – not too good when your belly is growing and you’re trying to avoid overheating.
Wine has been on my mind this week. I haven’t had a glass in over five months. In the beginning stages I didn’t crave it at all, the smell actually made me feel ill but now it’s a different story. It’d be nice to sit back with my feet up and a glass of cool Sauvignon Blanc and good thriller novel on a hot summer afternoon after a long run…ah a girl can dream. Maybe next year 🙂
