When it comes to running, the knees get hit severely. Each time your feet hits the pavement it’s having an impact on your knees and other joints. Lately, my left knee has been speaking out a little too often than I’d like. Yesterday I was meant to go for a long run on the beach – it didn’t happen. I felt a mild pain around my knee cap whilst walking, I decided that going for a run would only irritate it more and could lead to a more serious injury.
Today, I hit the gym with the intention of going for a an easy run on the treadmill. Yep, the knee hurt again. I wasn’t happy but I wasn’t going to let it ruin my workout. I did 20 minutes weights followed by 30 minutes on the crosstrainer, sweat was pouring down me once I was done. Workout successful, yesterday’s tiramisu and cupcakes burnt off, and fitness level maintained.
